On the face side we have the swallow center. The swallow was a symbol used historically by sailors to show off their sailing experience, usually tattooed on the chest, hands or neck. Seeing swallows was a sign that their travels were nearing an end. The swallow also represents love, care, affection, freedom and hope. I like the symbolism of nearing the end of a journey as the setup for the second side with the key carried in it's clutches. On the reverse we have the Hart of the Forest. The legendary white hart is the ultimate forest symbol of purity in multiple cultures and nations. "Hunters of old pursued the miraculous stag, not because they expected to kill it, but because it led them in the joy of the chase to new and fresh adventures, and so to capture happiness." - Lord Robert Baden-Powell, Founder of Boy Scouts Association.
The white hart was a symbol of purity associated with becoming something higher than an average human with it's sighting. To follow your heart and unlock your potential you become something great and find the white hart, the symbol of self purification in the process.
