For this design, we let our imaginations wander. We started with the idea "Why wasn't there caching in the middle ages?". Then we decided that maybe there was... but the dragons hoarded all the cache. This design is from the pen of Chris Mackey and turned out better than we imagined it ever could!
The dragon is done in 3D and the treasure is actually under the jade colored transparent enamel. The effect is very cool. A great, hefty coin that really is a must-have for any serious collectors. And casual ones too for that matter!
A note to anyone unfamiliar with this coin. This was the official October 2006 coin but due to a ID10t error here at home base it was produced with the September 2006 date marked in the side.
