Why Passwords? From time to time we or people we sell for will want to reserve the purchase of a coin for only certain people. We do this by password protecting the item for a period of time. This enables the owner, seller, or us to provide early access to a sale for members only, VIPs, reservation lists, etc. When an item is password protected, it typically states on the item's page when the password will be removed. We do not supply passwords by request, you must have received the password through a direct notice to participate in a password protected sale.

April 2024 - Geocaching Spirit Animals

Design notes from the artist:  Chris Mackey

I've met a lot of pretty amazing people through the world of geocaching and geocoins.  Some quite shy and reclusive, others quite outspoken.  Meek as a mouse or ferocious as a lion, every cacher seems to have their own Spirit Animal.  The Native American tribes believed each of us is born to have a reflective spirit in the natural world.  A guide, muse, or identifying array of qualities that aligned with this sacred spirit animal.  They often utilized a kind of zodiac chart to describe both these special animals and their traits that were displayed throughout the cycle of a person's life.  An affinity that becomes reality so often that a pattern emerges that can't just be by chance.

So what's your spirit animal?  While I'd like to think I'm a mythical dragon obsessed with coins, I'm more likely a barn swallow... seemingly fearless and graceful, but in truth just a bit reckless and slightly unaware of my actual mortality while constantly rushing from here to there because something caught my eye and I'm easily distracted.  I look around me and some cacher's spirit animals seem obvious, but some might surprise us, too.  That timid mouse might truthfully be a sly fox in disguise.  The greatest part of geocaching and geocoins is often meeting so many interesting people who slowly reveal their spirit animal in surprising ways.  So let's hear it... are you the sharp eyed raven, the snack seeking racoon, the skilled climbing bear, or something else entirely?  Let's hear your thoughts on your animal guide and share your coins and tags with your fellow cachers to learn more about them, too!
