This is the special edition coin of the November 2009 Geocoin Club Coin.
This month's coin is a tribute to the two main lines in our coordinate system, the Equator and the Prime Meridian. On the front is a depiction of the Equator Benchmark, found in Ecuador. Also a Prime Meridian marker found in Europe. Under the translucent is a broad picture of where the two lines intersect, including the nearby continent. On the back, is a closeup of the intersection point, with old Neptune pointing to the spot with his trident. It's under that really snazzy pearl enamel, so look hard. Outside is the saying Imperium Neptuni Regis, which is the order you'll earn if you sail through that point.
